Maybe she should have known better. It was always at the forefront of her mind not to get involved. Growling to herself, the semi-white she-wolf continued to pad. The ground had gradually grown harder under her paws, and now it felt like she was walking on a sidewalk from a human city. Her lip threatened to curl at the very thought. Normally, she was a bouncy and energetic wolf. But today, her belly seemed hell bent on reminding her she hadn't eaten for almost four days. Whimpering as she finally put a number to her whining thoughts, she collapsed against the side of a mountain. It was more of a hill, in retrospect. She pawed desperately, but her sharpened claws couldn't break the mold that made the hill. There was no point in hurting herself. She pulled back and fought darkness from forming before her eyes.
It didn't.
